Rosettes for first four places in each regular stake and Puppy Derby.

HANDLER-SELECTS-GUNNER CHALLENGE

  • A money stake with $10 from each entry going into the pot -- winner take all; open to any dog. The HSGC is an elimination event, with no fixed number of series. Handler selects one gunner from the official gun pool. Two live birds (pigeon) are thrown simultaneously for each dog. This is an extremely exciting event, that challenges the wing shooting talents of our gunners and the ability of your dog to complete a true double retrieve!!
GAME : pigeon or chukar will be used for puppy and junior handler stakes; Pigeon, chukar or pheasant will be used in the OPEN and GUNDOG stakes.

TRIAL FORMAT : All Stakes will consist of two (2) series; A third series may be run, at the discretion of the Judges, to establish placements for a given Stake.

REGISTRATION : Walk-up Registration for regular stakes, Puppy Derby, and HSGC on day of trial. Registration for all stakes starts at 8:30 A.M. and will remain open for each stake until the start of that particular stake.

An informal RSVP would, however, be greatly appreciated (so we can better estimate the number of birds needed and to coordinate food.)

For RSVP and/or more information, Contact : Tammy Butler (717)572-3691 or Jim O'Shea.

ENTRY FEE : $35 per dog for Gun Dog and Open stakes. $30 for Puppy stakes; $25 per entry for Junior Handler stake; $5 per dog for Splashimus Maximus; $30 per dog for HSGC.
